Teen facing intimidation charges for Mishawaka school threat

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Probate Court has approved a petition alleging delinquency against a 17-year-old who is accused of threatening to carry out a shooting at Mishawaka High School.

The teen, who ABC57 is not identifying, is facing a delinquency petition for two counts of intimidation, which would be level 6 felonies if committed by an adult.

The first count for intimidation alleges on December 20 the teen threatened to fire shots at Mishawaka High School and/or shoot an administrator.

The second count of intimidation alleges the shooting threat was in retaliation for the administrator taking disciplinary action against the teen.

The teen will be in court on Wednesday for an initial hearing.
