Teen injured in shooting at Washington Gardens in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. --- A teenager is in critical condition after a shooting in the Washington Gardens apartment complex in Elkhart.
Police were called out to the area of Wagner and Delaware Streets around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday on reports of gunfire. While on the scene, the victim was dropped off to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment.
The 18-year-old reported being shot in the area of Wagner Ave and the 1300 block of Delaware Street.
As of Thursday morning, the victim is in critical but stable condition.
