Teen shot by Michigan City police to appear in court

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- Daniel Sherrod Jr. will be facing a jury on Monday.
Police said the 19-year-old ran from an officer during a traffic stop in Michigan City. When the officer caught up to him, investigators said Sherrod tried to take the officer's gun and that's when the cop shot him in the stomach.
The teen ran about a quarter of a mile. He was later found at a friend's apartment.
He faces two felonies.
