ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- A 17-year-old boy died in a two-vehicle crash on S.R. 13 Sunday night after one driver slid on ice.
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office announced that a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country slid on ice Sunday, Jan. 25 around 9:42 p.m. while driving north on S.R. 13, south of C.R. 36.
As a result, the Chrysler went left of center, colliding with the front end of a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia 126.
A passenger in the Chrysler, a 17-year-old boy, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The Chrysler's driver was taken to Memorial Hospital for a minor head injury.
The crash is under investigation by the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office.
