The melt begins Wednesday, and accelerates into Thursday. By noon Wednesday temperature will be above freezing and will stay above freezing until at least the middle of next week. All the snow should be gone by Saturday. New Year's Eve is looking wet but New Year's Day Sunday is likely dry.
