Temporary one-way street in Michigan City starts this week

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. - The Michigan City Police Department announced starting Tuesday, May 28, Wabash Street between Barker Avenue and 10th Street will become a northbound only one-way street.

Officials say this will be done to allow the shuttling of large precast concrete to a construction site downtown.

The street will remain one-way from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday through the middle of August this year.
