Te'o named finalist for CLASS award

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Notre Dame's defensive star Manti Te'o has been named a a finalist for a prestigious award.
Te'o has been named as a finalist for the 2012 Senior CLASS Award.
The award honors student athletes who excel both on and off the field and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence.
The CLASS award is an acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievements for Staying in School.
The winners will be announced during this year's bowl season.
