Texas bakers bake teacakes to benefit fertilizer plant victims

BURKE, Texas -- Some Texas bakers are up to their elbows in dough as they bake tea-cakes for the victims of the deadly fertilizer plant explosion.

The group "Tea Cakes for Ministry" is selling hundred of the sweet cakes.

All of the money raised will help those affected by the plant blast.

A dozen are going for just five dollars.

"The reason I think that we participate in that is that there have been times in our lives and our communities where we have suffered loss and have had people be with us and help us," said a member of the baking group.

This was not their first fundraising event. They also baked cakes for the victims of the disaster in Haiti.
