Texas head coach used to be Notre Dame assistant

It is back to football in Michiana. And for Texas Head Coach Charlie Strong it's back to Notre Dame, where he spent his early coaching days.

Before Strong was sporting burnt orange, or even winning games as Louisville head coach and Florida defensive coordinator, he spent his coaching days in blue and gold.

"I had some really great years there," said Strong. "It's a great place."

Strong spent four years as an assistant at Notre Dame and built a love for the program under the tutelage of Lou Holtz.

Strong says this will be his first game at Notre Dame under the lights. Kick off is at 7:42 p.m.
