Texas man receives unique punishment for drunk driving charges

HOUSTON, Texas. -- A Texas judge is getting national attention for forcing a convicted drunk driver to wear a sign at the intersection where he hit and killed someone.

This weekend was the first of four Saturdays the man had stand at the corner of the crash site all day.

His sign reads, "I Killed Aaron Pennywell While Driving Drunk".  

The victim's family and friends approve of the punishment.

He was convicted on DWI charges And sentenced to one year in jail. He only served 90 days for good behavior.
