Thanksgiving snow stats

With snow in the forecast for Thursday we did some digging into some numbers put together by the National Weather Service of Northern Indiana since 1950. Including the trace of snowfall that fell last year. 

There have been 23 Thanksgiving with some measurable snow on the ground, 19 were it snowed on Thanksgiving day, the most being 5.5" in 1980.

Now since Thanksgiving is not the same date year to year these stats are more of a novelty than hard data. Interesting enough the record snowfall for November 27th is 30.2" that fell in 1977.
