The dog really DID eat her homework

Some students have tried the “dog at my homework” excuse to get out of turning in an assignment, but for one Texas student, this was no excuse.

Student Reagan Hardin told her teacher that her class project ended up in her pit bull Roscoe's stomach, and brought x-rays to prove it.

Roscoe could have died. The diorama had plastic pieces and chicken wire.

“They removed it all, and they sent me a picture of it,” says Reagan.

The veterinarian was able to remove the homework successfully.

After the teacher saw the x-ray proof, Reagan was able to make a second version.

Roscoe the dog has since recovered from the surgery and is back to normal.
