The Fighting Irish prepare for their first ACC Tournament

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- The Fighting Irish will play Wake Forest on Wednesday for their first game in the ACC Tournament.

Head Coach Mike Brey has been crunching numbers all week to show his team how every steal counts.

According to Coach Brey's statistics, the Irish offense has gotten better in the past seven games.

Brey said, “Since we adjusted how we are running our offense, more pattern more predictable, our shooting percentage is up, our three point percentage is up, our assistance in turnovers is better, and our scoring is up.”

The team captain said they have an advantage since they played Wake Forest earlier this season.

Eric Atkins said, “They got us the first time, so we really want to get them back.”

For Atkins and the other Irish seniors, it could be their last game playing for Notre Dame.

Atkins said, “This is really it. I mean this is my final go at it, so I’m excited for it and ready to get started.”

The Wake Forest game is scheduled for Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Greensboro.
