GOSHEN, Ind. -- The Goshen Police Department announced that they will begin accepting applications on Monday for full-time police officers and reserve police officers to be hired in 2022.

These positions come with three progressive bonuses that include a $2,000 sign-on bonus, a $2,000 bonus after the second year of work, and a $4,000 bonus after the fifth year of work.

The department is encouraging anyone interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement to apply.

Preliminary requirements to be considered for these positions include applicants being between 21 and 39 years old, living within 50 miles of the Goshen Police Department, being a US citizen, having a valid drivers license, and having a high school diploma/GED.

Anyone interested in applying should pick up an application packet from The Goshen Police Department, 111 East Jefferson Street, between Mondays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Applications submitted through the Human Resources department website will not be accepted.

The application packets must be submitted and returned back to the Goshen Police Department by 5 p.m. on October 1.
