The Green Bee hosts Christmas decor swap

GOSHEN, Ind. -- The Green Bee hosted their annual Christmas decor swap on Sunday, Jan. 11.

The Green Bee wanted to help reduce waste and help people save a couple dollars.

By having the decor swap, people can leave old things instead of throwing them away so that someone else can make use of the items.

The Green Bee is collecting old and broken Christmas lights to send to the Elkhart Environmental Center for recycling.

The Green Bee will also be having another decor swap in December of 2026 for the Christmas season.

Ashley Anglemeyer, Co-owner of the Green Bee, stated, "I've seen a lot of nutcrackers, a lot of really unique ornaments, whether they're handmade or just Christmas bulbs, you know, the simple, traditional bulbs. But we've come across a lot of just really unique items that appear, like one of a kind, which is really neat. But we have other things, like Christmas serving dishes, and somebody brought in some scrapbook supplies that are Christmas themed. There's a lot of everything here, outdoor lights, outdoor displays, there's a big blow-up Nutcracker somewhere in here, so a little bit of everything."
