The Oasis bar in Goshen set to close July 17

The Oasis

GOSHEN, Ind. -- The Oasis bar in Goshen has announced in a social media post today that after eight years of being open, with six of them being as 'The O', they are closing.

They announced that their last day of service will be July 17.

In a statement made on Facebook, they wrote:

To Our Incredible Supporters, Family, and Friends,
This is not an easy message to write.
After nearly eight years, six of them open as The O, filled with blood, sweat, tears, a pandemic, a 100-year flood, a fence, economic curveballs, and even more sweat and tears… it’s time for us to close this chapter. Or rather, this book.
We’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to close our doors. Our final day of service at The O will be Thursday, July 17.
Our hearts are heavy. This decision hasn’t come easily. We’ve built more than a restaurant, we’ve built a family. Some of that family is actual family, and all of it has been rooted in passion, purpose, and people. To say this hurts would be an understatement.
Please keep our amazing team in your thoughts. They are, in my eyes, the very best in the business. If you're hiring, I hope you’ll consider them. These are talented, hardworking individuals who helped bring our vision to life every single day.
We ask that you respect the sensitivity of this moment. There will likely be speculation, but please be kind. Behind this announcement are more than 20 lives who will be transitioning and looking for new opportunities. The restaurant industry has changed drastically since 2020. We've held on as long as we could, but we can no longer see a sustainable path forward.
To our loyal guests, thank you. Thank you for walking through our doors, for cheering us on, and for being part of our journey. And to our past and present staff, you are the heart and soul of The O. Thank you for showing up, believing in what we were building, and making this place something special. YOU. ARE. FAMILY.
Until our final day, we’ll continue to operate during our regular business hours. We will honor your gift cards. We hope you’ll come by for a final smoked Ol’ Fashioned or Sweet Heat Paloma, enjoy your favorite dish, and share a moment with the people who made this place what it is.
With love and gratitude,
H
