The pick is in: Caleb Williams is the next quarterback of the Chicago Bears

Vahid Sadrzadeh / ABC57 DETROIT, Mich. -- The Chicago Bears have selected USC quarterback Caleb Williams as the first pick overall of the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit.
Williams threw for 3,633 yards and 30 touchdowns in the 2023 season, and 4,537 yards with 42 touchdowns in the 2022 season.
The Bears finished their 2023 season 7-10-0 overall, and 2-4-0 in the NFC North prompting a trade of quarterback Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a conditional 2025 sixth-round draft pick on March 17.
