SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Bend Empowerment Zone, a local nonprofit helping transform student achievement and growth at schools, is hosting free virtual read-along sessions for parents looking to sit and read with their child.

The organization posted to Facebook on Thursday that during the month of February they will host two read-along sessions, where a special guest will read to you and your family.

Nothing encourages student literacy more than family reading, stated the Empowerment Zone.

For families that RSVP for the event beforehand, they will receive a hard-copy of both books delivered prior to your reading sessions.
