Humane Society: Three boxes of cats abandoned outside shelter doors

CASS COUNTY, Ind. -- Three boxes of cats were abandoned outside of the Cass County Humane Society on Tuesday.

The shelter says the distressed cats were dumped just out of view in a hot box that had been taped shut.

The felines are bobtail cats and kittens which are an uncommon breed for the area.

The shelter says the cats will be up for adoption soon.

The agency said animal control has been notified.

Anyone with information is urged to call the shelter at 574-516-1526
