Three facing drug charges after police seize 20 pounds of marijuana

PLYMOUTH, Ind. -- Three people were arrested on charges of dealing marijuana after an investigation by Indiana State Police Monday evening. Police seized over 20 pounds of marijuana during the investigation.

Illinois State Police contacted the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement section with information about a load of marijuana that was going to be exchanged in a parking lot in Plymouth.

ISP set up surveillance and arrested three people, police said.

The suspects were identified as

  • Richard McCalvin, 42, of Argos, charged with dealing marijuana
  • John McCalvin, 65, of Florida, charged with dealing marijuana
  • Karen Sulay, 61, of California, charged with dealing marijuana

Police seized 20 pounds of marijuana with a street value of approximately $45,000, 8 pounds of marijuana butter worth approximately $25,000, 50 marijuana laced cookies worth approximately $5,000 and $30,000 cash.
