Elkhart County Deputies say the Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by 41-year-old Donald Gates of Goshen, was approaching the intersection of State Road 19 and County Road 36 when he rear ended a buggy stopped, waiting to turn left.
Gates suffered head injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to deputies, the driver of the buggy, 53-year-old Jonas Zimmerman of Wakarusa, was not injured in the crash.
However, two of his passengers suffered a leg and mouth injury and were transported to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment.
