ELKHART, Ind. - Three people were killed in a crash Sunday morning in Elkhart County. 

The crash happened in the 23000 block of Toledo Rd. around 3:00 a.m. 

According to the Elkhart County Police Department, the vehicle was reported to have collided with a tree before coming to a stop on the south side of the street. 

18-year-old Juan Mendoza, 19-year-old Eduardo Santos, and 21-year-old Nayeli Navarro were among those killed. 

The two other passengers in the car were hospitalized. Their condition is currently unknown. 

The events leading up to the crash are still being investigated by police.
