Three more arrests in 'large scale theft ring'

Three more people have been arrested in connection with what the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department says was an extensive crime spree across five Indiana counties and two Michigan counties.

Tyson DeWayne Matthews, 27, of Winamac was arrested Friday on preliminary charges of felony forgery and felony theft.

James Walton Matthews, 46, of Medaryville, was arrested Saturday on a preliminary charge of felony auto theft.

Katie Matthews, 24, Medaryville, was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of stolen property.

Last week, the sheriff's department announced the arrest of two men, Frank Bailey and Michael Watson for their alleged involvement in a large scale theft ring.

Deputies say the theft ring involved crimes in Noble, Steuben, Starke and Pulaski counties in Indiana and two unnamed counties in Michigan.
