Indiana now has 79 COVID-19 cases

INDIANAPOLIS— The state of Indiana now has 79 cases of COVID-19, according to the ISDH.

The new cases on reported on Friday are in the following counties:

  • Allen (1)
  • Boone (1)
  • Floyd (1)
  • Grant (1)
  • Hamilton (3)
  • Johnson (1)
  • Lake (2) 
  • Marion (6)
  • Shelby (1)
  • St. Joseph (3)
  • Tippecanoe (1) 
  • Vanderburgh (1)
  • Vigo (1)

The new cases reported Friday bring the state’s total of confirmed coronavirus cases to 79.

As of Friday morning, a total of 554 people in Indiana had reportedly been tested for the virus. 

Two Hoosiers have died of the virus, according to the health department.
