Three people sent to the hospital after three separate Elkhart County crashes

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Three people were sent to the hospital as a result of three different car crashes that occurred in Elkhart County on Friday.

An Elkhart County officer reported to a crash at 2:10 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of SR 4 and CR 35 where one vehicle allegedly ran a stop sign and crashed into another vehicle.

The driver was cited for disregarding the stop sign and was transported to Goshen Hospital for internal chest injuries, police say.

Police say they reported to a second crash at 2:56 p.m. Friday on CR 20, near CR 7, where one car was rear ended by another.

The passenger of the rear-ended vehicle was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for neck pain.

Elkhart County Police reported to a third crash at 5:19 p.m. at the intersection of SR 119 and CR 7 where a vehicle failed to yield and crashed into another vehicle, police say.

Police say the driver was cited for failure to yield and was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for neck pain.
