SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Fire Department responded to the 1600 Block of N. Kenmore Street in South Bend for a working fire.

The call came in at approximately 2:30 p.m. When crews arrived, they found flames coming from the side of the home. The fire was located in the basement and was contained within 10 minutes. 

No one was in the home at the time, and no injuries were reported. Three residents were displaced, and the American Red Cross was contacted to assist the family. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
