Three Rivers Police investigating suspicious incidents

THREE RIVERS, Mich. -- Three Rivers Police are investigating two suspicious incidents that happened over the last week to women who were by themselves.

On Sunday, Three Rivers Police responded to a suspicious situation on River Trail.

A woman saw a white male with dirty blond hair and a goatee playing with a knife while sitting on a bench with a baby stroller next to him.

The man approached the woman on the trail and asked to see her baby.

The woman told the man she had to go home and left.

She told police the man followed her from the trail to Scidmore Park.

The man then put the baby stroller in the back of a black Dodge pickup truck and followed the woman in his truck to S. Lincoln Avenue and South Street.

Officers were unable to locate the man or his vehicle.

On Wednesday, officers responded to the Walgreens on South US 131. A woman told police she was approached by a male who tried to coax her to a parked vehicle behind O'Reilly's by saying the sheriff was in the vehicle.

Officers were unable to locate this man or the vehicle.

Police do not believe the incidents are related.
