Three state troopers save life at Notre Dame game

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Three Indiana state troopers working at the Notre Dame were in the right place at the right time.

Troopers Brian McCall, Gary Runde and Ryan Purkiser had just finished their traffic direction assignments when they stepped inside the Hammes Bookstore to get out of the rain.

They were quickly approached about a man who was not breathing and did not have a pulse.

The troopers notified Notre Dame emergency personal and started CPR.

That person was then taken to Memorial Hospital.
