Three suspects arrested after pursuit that ended in a crash in Michigan
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich.—Three suspects with outstanding warrants were arrested after a vehicle pursuit in St. Joseph County, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies were involved in a vehicle pursuit on January 26 that began at Buckhorn Road near Marcellus Road in Park Township.
A deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for an equipment violation but the vehicle sped up and tried to avoid the deputy and turned into a driveway, reports said.
After the deputy attempted to pull over the suspect vehicle, it drove through a yard and crashed into a ditch, police said.
The suspect vehicle then got stuck in the snow, reports said.
Police said they arrested the driver, 29-year-old Dustin Beacham of Portage for outstanding warrants and fleeing and alluding.
The rear seat passenger, 31-year-old Rachel Neidlinger of Vicksburg, was arrested for outstanding warrants, possession of narcotics and providing false information to an officer, according to police.
A second passenger, 30-year-old Todd Diekema of Three Rivers left the scene but he was located at his home on January 29 and arrested for outstanding warrants.
Police said they are requesting additional charges be brought against the suspects.
