Three-vehicle accident sends one person to the hospital

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office reports that a call came in at 2:53 p.m. on Monday for a three-vehicle crash on SR 15 that sent one of the drivers to the hospital.

Police say traffic was stopped in the southbound lanes of SR 15, north of US 6, when a driver rear ended a vehicle which was pushed into rear ending another vehicle.

The driver of the initially rear-ended vehicle was taken to Goshen General Hospital by ambulance, police say.

Police say the other two drivers were not injured in the accident.

The driver that initiated the crash was cited for distracted driving, police say.
