Police said residents contacted them about two residences and concerns about their occupants.

After following up on the tips and conducting an investigation, police received search warrants for the two residences.

On Tuesday afternoon, police served the search warrants at 308 E. Madison Street Apartment 1 and 114 S. Cottage Avenue Apartment 1 at the same time.

Police said the following people were taken into custody on the following preliminary charges:

  • Amber Ragsdale Yeazel, 26 years of age, of 308 E Madison St., Apt 1 arrested on multiple outstanding warrants, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Mary Hammond, 51 years of age, 308 E Madison St., Apt 1 arrested on preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of synthetic/look-a-like narcotics.
