Tools, laptops taken from business in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. - Police are investigating the burglary of several items form a business in Elkhart on Saturday, the Elkhart Police Department announced.

At 7:34 a.m., police went to the 4300 block of Pine Creek Road for a burglary that happened early in the morning.

According to the investigation, sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning, an unknown suspect(s) got into the building.

The suspect(s) allegedly pried into tool cabinets and cut the chain on the tool cage.

Several tools were missing.

A television and laptops were also missing from the conference room, according to reports.

The suspect(s) also used the shop's forklift to steal a half a pallet of water, reports said.

The suspect(s) damaged a wall of the building with the forklift, police said.

No arrests have been made at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation.
