ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for the northeastern part of St. Joseph County on Sunday. 

The reported tornado touched down around 8:44 p.m. on the south side of South Bend.

Buildings were destroyed during the storm and a Growing Kids daycare facility suffered severe damaged.

Power lines and debris were down on the roads.

There is a road closure on Ironwood Rd. between Ewing and Ireland.

As of 5:15 a.m. on Monday morning, just over 750 I&M customers were without power in South Bend with an outage cause listed as weather.
