Tourists flock to New Buffalo for spring break - do not make live
NEW BUFFALO, Mich.-- New Buffalo has seen an uptick in business due to Spring Break and winter tourism. Although many stores in Michiana were hit hard by a long winter, they are finally starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Joey DiMaggio said, “So folks have actually come up to New Buffalo from all over just to get a glimpse of this frozen tundra of a beach!” The manager of The Stray Dog Bar and Grill said business this winter has been great considering the cold temperatures. DiMaggio said, “We are really fortunate because we’ve had to actually open up the back room to accommodate all the extra guests that we’ve gotten!” College students eating at the restaurant decided to spend spring break in New Buffalo and admire Lake Michigan. Nick Papgeorgio said, “It’s a pretty sight but it still has a lot of risks to it, but it’s cool to see it as frozen as it is right now!”
