Tractor trailer slams into Berrien County business

WATERVLIET, Mich. - A tractor trailer crashed into a Berrien County business overnight.
The sheriff's department says it happened in Watervliet around 2:45 a.m.
The truck left Interstate 94 and slammed into the Lane Automotive building.
Investigators say a Lane Automotive worker helped the driver from the semi.
A passenger was also in the truck and was sleeping at the time of the accident.
The driver and passenger were taken to Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph with minor injuries.
Investigators say the driver could have possibly fallen asleep.
They say alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
The driver was cited for careless driving.
