Trader Joe’s holding hiring event for new South Bend store
SOUTH BEND, Ind.—Trader Joe’s is extending its multi-day, on-site hiring event to staff its new South Bend store.
An additional hiring event will be held Friday, July 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The new grocery store at 1140 East Howard Street is set to open in late summer or early fall this year, according to a company spokesperson. No official grand opening date has been set.
The store is looking to fill approximately 75 positions.
The hiring event will take place at the new Howard Street location on:
- Tuesday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Thursday, July 29 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday, July 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Applications will be accepted at the store during the hiring events. Anyone who cannot attend the in-person events can also apply online on Trader Joe’s website.
The new store will anchor the south end of Eddy Street Commons.
California-based Trader Joe’s has over 500 stores across the United States.
The store offers a variety of items including gourmet, organic and vegetarian foods, domestic and imported wine and beer, and everyday basics.
The South Bend location will be the first Trader Joe’s in Michiana.
