Traffic Alert: U.S. 421 in LaPorte County to close down for resurfacing

LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announced that, beginning on October 7, a section of U.S. 421 near the Indiana Toll Road will close down for a week as part of a resurfacing project.
The closure will be at the railroad bridge in Otis, which is between I-94 and the Indiana Toll Road.
Southbound motorists on U.S. 421 will detour west on I-94, south on SR 49 and east on U.S. 6 back to U.S. 421.
Northbound motorists on U.S. 421 will detour west on U.S. 6, north on SR 49 and east on I-94 back to U.S. 421.
