SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The City of South Bend Department of Public Works announced traffic alerts beginning on November 23.

On Tuesday, the westbound lane of Lincolnway West, from Fremont to Elmer Streets, will be closed while crews install curbing.

A detour route will move westbound traffic south on Charles Martin Sr. Drive, west on Colfax Avenue/Orange Street, north on Meade Street, to Bendix Drive.

The street should reopen at the end of the day on Tuesday, weather permitting.

On November 29, a section of Edison Road, between Easement Lane and Country Club Road, will be closed for routine maintenance on a sanitary pump station nearby.

A detour route will follow Pine and Quince Roads via U.S. 20.

The street should reopen at the end of the day on Friday, December 3, weather permitting.
