Truck crashes into Rochester pizza place Tuesday night

Nubiano\'s Pizza

ROCHESTER, Ind. -- The owners of Nubiano's Pizza announced via Facebook that the store will be closed until further notice due to a diesel truck crashing into the business late Tuesday night.

The owners say none of their employees were in the building at the time of the crash.

The Rochester Fire Department, Rochester Police Department, Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, and the Indian State Police all responded according to the owners.

In their official Facebook post, the owners state in part, "We owe you guys a pizza when we get back up and running. We will keep all of our customers updated as we go through this."

The restaurant owners say the truck went through a wall, a refrigerator, shelving, a prep cooler, a sink, and even moved a 1,000-pound oven and hood until it hit the cooler.

In a follow-up Facebook post Wednesday afternoon, the owners stated, "If you were looking forward to a Nubis pizza tonight, please message us and we will see about delivering from our Logansport store tonight! We know how much it means to people when they come home for the holidays and need their hometown favorites. (Looking to do maybe two rounds of delivery from Logan to Rochester! 5 and 7 depending on how many request!)"

Authorities have not released any details as to the cause of the crash or the condition of the driver.
