Truck driver reaches 3 million mile mark without any accidents
A Holland Inc. semi truck driver is being honored Friday morning for reaching 3 million miles without an accident.
Pat Shelton, who has been driving professionally for 34 years, is being honored with a police escort through South Bend, presented with a trophy, a ring and a commemorative 3-million-miler leather jacket as well as custom 3-million-miler decals for his truck.
As a line haul driver, he logs over 2,700 miles per week on his route between South Bend and Cleveland, Ohio.
Plus, based on the information given to us from Holland, Pat is just one of thirteen active Holland drivers to have reached this remarkable safety milestone.
