Trump announces nominee for US Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana
President Donald J. Trump announced his nominee for the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana on Friday.
The president nominated Thomas L. Kirsch II, who is currently a partner at Winston & Strawn LLP.
He previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana and as counsel to the Assistant Attorney General at the Department of Justice Office of Legal Policy.
He received his B.A. from Indiana University and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Senator Todd Young praised the nomination.
“Tom has a great legal mind and is a fearless litigator who has shown a willingness to take on powerful interests,” Senator Young said. “I have no doubt he will continue the laudable work done by David Capp over the last decade.”
