ELKHART, Ind. -- The city of Elkhart is hosting a 'Demo Day' for a new 18-hole disc golf course in downtown Elkhart.
Today, you're invited to Lundquist-Bicentennial Park from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. and Island Park from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to try out the course and provide your feedback to the Elkhart Parks and Recreation department.
Disc golf is one of the fastest growing sports here in the U.S., and the courses in Elkhart were designed with the help of local disc golf players and course designers.
Elkhart Parks and Rec Superintendent, Jamison Czarnecki says this is all in an effort to bring more people out to the local parks.
The city aims to take the feedback from today's demo run and have a permanenant course up and running sometime around July.
You can read more about Demo Day on the city's Parks and Recreation website.
