TSA agent spills cremated remains of traveler's grandfather
INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis man claims the TSA spilled his grandfather's ashes.
So the least they could do is offer an apology, right?
"She started laughing. I was on my hands and knees picking up bone fragments," said John Gross, who lost his grandpa's ashes. "I want an apology from TSA. I want an apology from the lady who opened the jar and laughed at me."
Gross didn't think he'd have a problem flying with his grandpa's ashes, but he was wrong.
When he went through security at the Orlando Airport, a TSA agent opened the ashes and spilled them on the floor.
The TSA is investigating, but rules state that cremated remains must pass through an x-ray machine, and cannot be opened under any circumstances
