TSA to use machines to check passenger ID

Officers for the TSA could soon be replaced by machines.

The boarding pass check-in machines are geared to recognize all valid identification, ranging from driver's licenses, to tribal ID's and passports.

TSA hopes the machines will do a more efficient job of weeding out fraudulent documents and getting passengers to their planes.

The first 30 machines cost just over $3 million.
