Tuba swallows cell phone during pre-game band performance

NOTRE Dame, Ind. -- An amusing video has surfaced on YouTube from this last Saturday's football game against USC. 

The video shows the Notre Dame band taking the field for the pre-game show.  The owner of the cell phone appears to be trying to record the traditional fanfare.

Suddenly, the video goes shaky and then black.  ABC 57 News was told that the amateur photographer was flanked by a tuba player whose instrument swallowed the cell phone.
