Tulip Road railroad crossing reopens after train derailed

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The Tulip Road railroad crossing has reopened. It was shut down for over two hours Monday morning after the train derailed.

The crossing is on Tulip Road between US20 and SR 2.

The crossing reopened around 11:30 a.m.

We were initially told by dispatch the train had struck a vehicle, but that was not correct.
