Two 16-year-olds in custody for Goshen shooting
GOSHEN, Ind. – Two 16-year-olds are in custody for a Goshen shooting that resulted in the death of 27-year-old Santino Garcia.
Alejandro Briano, 16, and Leonardo Chavarria, 16, were taken into custody for murder late Saturday, reports said.
The two allegedly admitted their involvement in the shooting.
At 1 p.m. on Saturday, police were called to the 7-11 on Elkhart Road for a shooting with injuries.
When officers arrived, they found Garcia suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment but later died.
Briano and Chavarria are being held without bond at the Elkhart County Juvenile Detention Center until further order of the Court.
Formal charges are expected to be filed by Thursday.
An autopsy will be performed on Tuesday.
