Two adults arrested after drug-related search warrant at residence with two minors

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- Two adults found in a drug-related search warrant were arrested on a variety of charges Wednesday after the Department of Child Services removed two minors from a residence allegedly showing evidence of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana use.

The 36-year-old Amber Cole of Lapaz was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine as a Level 6 Felony, Maintaining a Common Nuisance as a Level 6 Felony, Neglect of a Dependent as a Level 6 Felony, and Possession of Marijuana as a misdemeanor.

The 28-year-old James Centers of Knox was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Visiting a Common Nuisance, both as misdemeanors.

The two were found on Thursday when the Marshall County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Troyer Street in Lapaz.

According to the Marshall County Police Department, Cole and Centers were found alongside two minors and evidence of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana use.

After the minors were removed from the resident, Cole and Centers were arrested. Cole was given a $1,500 bond and Centers was given a $250 bond. Both have since posted bond.
