BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Two Indiana residents were arrested following a traffic stop at Napier Avenue and  Pipestone Road early Saturday morning, according to Benton Township Police.

Around 1:45 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Charger that allegedly committed several traffic violations.

After obtaining consent to search the vehicle, police located approximately 15 ounces of meth, 24 grams of suspected crack cocaine and a 9 mm handgun, police said.

A 35-year-old woman from Indiana and a 50-year-old man from Indiana were taken into custody.

The names of the suspects are being withheld pending arraignment.
