Two arrested, crack, meth, cocaine, more seized following SWET investigation
SWET THREE RIVERS, Mich. -- Two Detroit residents are facing drug trafficking charges following a June 26 traffic stop by Detectives with the Southwest Enforcement Team.
The report states SWET detectives were surveilling suspected drug houses when they observed suspicious activity with a vehicle that left one of the homes.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office then conducted a stop on the vehicle. A Three Rivers Police Department K9 then alerted authorities to narcotics.
Authorities say they located 733 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, user amounts of suspected MDMA, cocaine, and fentanyl, and evidence of drug distribution in the vehicle.
Detectives then executed a search warrant at a motel room associated with one of the suspects.
In the motel room, authorities seized 48 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 20 grams of suspected diphenidine, and further evidence of drug distribution.
The suspects, a 33-year-old man and 42-year-old woman, were arrested and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail on felony Drug Possession and Trafficking charges.
The report states charges may be sought against two additional suspects as the investigation continues.
